ClickBank is no doubt the number one network to make money online for most people. The reason is simple – lots of products inside are information products with instant download. People browse the internet to look for information and these eBooks a highly relevant to the market demand.

You can make money with ClickBank in two ways – either as an affiliate or eBook publisher. Below are some tips to become successful by selling ClickBank products.

Start as an affiliate first. For most people, this is the safest way. There are lots of reasons why you should start by becoming an affiliate first. First you can test one market, whether is is profitable or not. Once you found that it is highly profitable, you can create your own product in that market. You’ll also be able to avoid information overload. By becoming an affiliate, you only need to learn what’s necessary to start making money online. You can also grow mailing list and have thousands of potential buyers. Mailing list is a must for ClickBank publishers. Should you create your own product, you list subscribers would be the first ones to know and buy your product. You don’t want to create a product, but in the end no one buys since you don’t have a mailing list. Find untapped niche markets. Should you start with make money online or internet marketing niche? Well, not recommended. I mean there are tonnes of untapped markets out there, so why should you start with such a crowded niche and make little income? One way to find untapped markets is by using Amazon marketplace. Search the best selling books at Amazon, then log on to ClickBank to see whether there’s an eBook sold for the same topic. Check the gravity. The best gravity score is around 1 to 40. Too high gravity is not good. It means the market is crowded with other affiliates. While gravity less than 1 is not good either. It means the product doesn’t sell well recently either the niche is less popular lately or the product is a low quality product. Find less competitive keywords using Google keyword tool. A good keyword for both SEO and PPC is must be high search volume but low competition. Too much competition is not good either, since it would be impossible to get high ranking for that keyword. While if the keyword is low in competition and search volume, that’s bad also. What good getting high ranking on Google if no one search for that term? Create your own website or blog. I encourage you to register domain name and host your website somewhere. However, the cheaper alternative is by creating a free blog. Websites like Blogger or WordPress provides this service for free, with no ads pasted on your blog. Focus on search engine traffic first. When I said search engine traffic, it doesn’t mean you need to become SEO expert. There are lots of ways to get targeted traffic from Google or other search engine. For example, you can post a how to videos at YouTube. This way, you’ll get targeted traffic from both YouTube search and Google search. Use article marketing for free traffic and link building. Articles is a great source of traffic, especially when you can include your own website link at the author’s bio. Any articles posted to directories like Ezine Articles or Go Articles will be ranked faster, less than one week, compared to new domain name. If someone loves your article, he will copy and pasted it in his blog, with your website link intact. This will give your website a great exposure. Grow your mailing list. It’s hard enough to get targeted traffic, and it would be even harder to convert them into sales. One way to increase the sales rate is by collecting your visitors’ emails. This way, you can keep following up and sending promotion for great products. Become a merchant when ready. When you are getting used with basic marketing practice, especially email marketing, why not become a merchant and create your own product? It doesn’t necessarily eBooks that you write on your own. You can pay someone else to do the job for you. By becoming a merchant, you will have more freedom. First, you can keep all profit. You don’t need to worry about things like link hijacking or commission theft, because you will be paid for each sale anyway. You can jump into less populated markets. You’ll have an army of affiliates willing to promote your products. Finally, you have the freedom when comes to price. Unlike being an affiliate, where you need to depend on merchant’s price, regardless the cost you pay for each traffic. Learn, learn and keep on learning. Becoming successful online is no different from retail business. There will be competitors and obstacles in order to become successful. You need to become smart and learn from experts. Otherwise, your business will be a failure.
